Children’s art manifests their creative thoughts, genuine emotions and innovative ideas, which we often bring to the public through art exhibitions in Hong Kong and overseas. We are grateful for the generous support of many corporations, developers, shopping malls, galleries, museums and even public art organizers.

Whimsical ways to Enhance Creativity and Cultural Literacy
What?
A year-long CreativeKids program fostering children’s art appreciation in a playful way.
Why?
Art and design education can foster children’s holistic growth - cultivating their cultural, social, emotional, and artistic appreciation - not just their academic performance.
How?
The program exposes children to the breadth and depth of artistic expression across cultures and time periods. Through fun-filled exploration, children discover how artists use the visual language to communicate their
perceptions, intentions, and emotions about the world. The projects span ancient to contemporary art, from East to West, and cover a range of mediums from art to architecture, all carefully curated to provide to provide motivated and curiosity-driven learning experiences.
Why Art Appreciation and Cultural Capital Matters?
Investing in a child’s cultural capital empowers them to reach their full potential and actively engage in an interconnected, multicultural world. Exposing children to diverse arts, history, and customs gives them the cultural
knowledge and understanding to thrive in different social settings. This cultural fluency can translate to a competitive edge in better academic and career prospects.

This research project captured the design processes and products as children and teenagers made visual research and utilized the three I’s Design Thinking Framework for Children (Inquire > Ideate > Improvise).
Adults gain understanding of how youngsters perceive possibilities and problems in their environment and ways to solve them.
Youngsters develop qualities of a researcher, designer and change-maker through sharpening their senses toward the wonders of nature and adopting inclusive public design’s way of thinking and practice in a real-life setting (in Shing Mun Country Park).

A celebration of CreativeKids’ 2017-18 art and design curriculum theme - Design Thinking for Children.
Re-envision our city’s “smartness” together with our children not solely based on technology, productivity and achievement but on empathy, identity, sustainability and connectivity.

As part of the Creative Stories theme in 2017, we have designed a series of projects that explore interesting stories behind the unique communities in which we live, under the name Hong Kong Hunt 香港行 2017. Using art, design, architecture, storytelling and design thinking as creative tools of inquiry and problem-solving, children researched and expressed their perception of the past, present and possible future of Hong Kong.
Hong Kong Hunt 香港行 2017 is a further development of an initiative started by CreativeKids in 2002 to help children find their cultural roots and to develop a sense of belonging in this ever-changing city. The Hong Kong Hunt 香港行 2002 was invited to exhibit in Guangdong Museum of Art.
