In the self-directed approach, students choose their own topics and techniques to express ideas, observations, and emotions. They are encouraged to explore both digital media (TechART) and traditional media such as pastel, oil / acrylic painting, watercolour and mixed media. Through disciplined practice, they develop mastery of art forms, concepts, and media.

Life on the Paddle Boat:
Boat Builder’s Dream (Jul-Aug)
Mastering structural design with their own hands, students will construct a functional paddle boat and transform it into a vessel carrying their most personal, imaginative dreams.

Senior Young Architects Program
Living in the Green: Hundertwasser’s Inspiration (Jul-Aug)
Inspired by Hundertwasser’s respect for nature, students will design and build a model using organic forms, irregular façades, curved walls, and colourful windows, incorporating moss and plants to bring “Living in the Green” to life.
Senior Portfolio-building
Age 14 and above (Jul-Aug)
In this individualized and tailor-made Portfolio-building Class, students build and present their own body of artworks, idea development and thinking processes in an organized manner for local and overseas interviews, assessments, competitions and university admission. With the flexible content and creative processes, they develop their interpretation of chosen themes and unique personal styles. They are encouraged to draw ideas across fields of knowledge and to address social or global issues beyond personal exploration of art.
Senior Life Drawing
Age 14 and above (Jul-Aug)
Discover secrets in capturing the human body in motion or in still poses
Learning outcomes:
• Suitable for beginners and intermediates.
• Grasp relationship in head-torso-limbs.
• Overcome rigid lines and enjoy freehand drawing with ease and fluency.
